So, it’s been a week since my bike accident and five days since my Lansing Marathon DNF.  I’m pleased to report that the course of antibiotics did its magic and the abscess in my left ankle has calm down to the point where it’s barely perceptible.  I’ve gone on one run of 6 miles so far and everything feels okay so I’m hopeful that I can resume regular running again.  I’ve got 12 miles on tap this weekend , and if I can survive that, then I should be fine pacing the NJ marathon next weekend.

Meanwhile if you are interested in hearing me and several doctor runners pontificate and discuss medical issues pertaining to runners, take a listen to the latest episode of the Runners Roundtable (Health and Running Headlines) and let me know what you think.  (Oh and If there are any other health related topics related to running that you want us to discuss, let me know that too!)

Have a happy weekend all and enjoy your running and racing!
